MIKEs STORY- It starts at age 15, when he launched his first home services business in his grandmothers’ mobile home park. He invested thirty bucks in an electric hedge trimmer and some business cards and he was off and running. As life progressed, Mike and his wife, Dawn, have lived in / bought & sold / or completely remodeled over fifteen homes in their 30+ years of marriage. (a crazy fun average of one home every two years) All this life and home improving was happening while they were totally committed to raising their three beautiful children. As the kids grew, Mike and Dawn made the necessary and sometimes ‘just for fun’ changes to their homes as a husband and wife home improvement dynamic duo. They loved it! It brought with it mammoth learning opportunities and delivered huge deposits into their skill set bank account. Throughout Mike’s professional career, he has built numerous 20,000 square foot retail stores all over the nation as well as worked extensively in the income property management industry. He was responsible for maintaining and improving over 270 home units in the resort town of Mammoth Lakes, CA. He was a licensed general contractor in the state of Oregon for eight year before moving to California and receiving his GC licenses there as well. All of Mike’s general contracting experience has been in the custom design/build home improvement and maintenance industry. He has pretty much seen it and done it all which makes him full of information and techniques he loves to share and teach with whomever is ready to enthusiastically Learn and Do.

He loves to deconstruct complex projects and then systematically create a Practical step-by-step plan. His goal is to create How.2 Courses that allow a person, of any skill level, to achieve Spectacular results every time. It was from this life long passion, that he created the one of a kind word, 'PracTacular', to help communicate the way he thinks and lives his life.

His mission is to teach enthusiastic HOME DIY’ers How.2 Get it Done, Have Fun, and gain the deep satisfaction of the Hands-On experience.

Mike is currently a part time General Contractor, a part time High School/Community Career Technical Educator, a part time Worship leader, and a full time Family man and Entrepreneur!
